Boudoir Photography is a private, artistic, intimate photo shoot resulting in unique, sensual portraits of you in all your gorgeousness! Boudoir is french for “bedroom”, and that is often the type of scene your portraits will be taken in.  We have a fabulous bedroom set in our studio!  However, your session can take place outside our studio…in your home, a friend’s home, a swanky hotel.  Be creative – it’s all up to you!  We’ll help you decide of course, just ask!!

Why would a woman schedule such a fabulously sexy photoshoot?

Boudoir is back and this time, it is not just for him.  A session with Runway Boudoir is like your own fashion lingerie shoot.  Sophisticated and sexy!

What is a good reason to have my  boudoir portraits taken?

~ your a bride wanting to give your groom a gorgeous album as a wedding gift;
~  you’ve reached a milestone or a goal and want to celebrate and document it;
~  you want to give your hubby a little something special for a birthday, anniversary, or just to spice things up;
~  your significant other is overseas or in the military and you want to send him a little surprise;
~ you want to feel good about yourself and be reminded just how sexy you really are!

Do I have to be nude?

Of course not! You can wear as much or as little as you want. We just want you to feel comfortable and sexy!  It is all up to you! We will work with you to create beautiful, unique and tastefully gorgeous images.

Do you provide hair and make-up?

We are happy to add hair and makeup to any session, but there are plenty of professional hair and make-up artists we can recommend to assist you if you don’t know someone.  Just ask!

I receive emails everyday asking how to prepare for your boudoir session. So here goes…these things will make the day much less stressful for you, and will make your photos look effortlessly beautiful.

1. Make sure to eat something!
If your session falls in the morning eat a good breakfast. If it is in the afternoon, have a light lunch. You will need the energy to be able to make it through the session, and you will want to make sure that you do not run out of steam before the conclusion of the session.

2. Plan to arrive early.
The last thing that you want to stress about on the day of your session is time. Be sure to arrive early so that you are able to relax and not feel rushed and stressed out before your session. Remember, we are going for an elegant, relaxed, beautiful look for your session and if you are overwhelmed or anxious it will show in photographs.

3. Bring a Friend!
You will have so much more fun if you have a friend with you- and you will not be as nervous, we can promise you this.

4. Wear loose fitting clothing to your session.
Tight clothing can leave marks on your skin that will take time to fade. If you wear loose-fitting clothing to your session we can prevent these marks from forming. A pair of sweatpants and a loose-fitting t-shirt or button-up shirt works best. Also, be sure to wear a clear deodorant instead of the white powder kind so that we will not have marks on your outfits.

5. Your makeup should make a statement on its own.
We work with several professional stylists and make-up artists, so if you would like to add hair/make-up to your session, just ask. If you choose to do your own makeup or to have your makeup done for you, remember that your makeup should be heavy enough to look glamorous and make a statement on its own.

6. Bring some ideas to your session.
A Boudoir Portrait session is about you looking amazing for your someone special. That means that YOU are the director of your session. While I many times work with an assistant in creating certain looks and poses for your photographs, your session will flow much more smoothly if you bring some ideas and your expectations to the table. I am available prior to your session for a complimentary consultation to discuss your ideas and to make suggestions. It helps if you bring your outfits to the session.

7. And MOST IMPORTANT- Have an amazing time!
Your Boudoir Portrait session is supposed to be fun. We are sure you will be comfortable, able to relax and have a great time! Have a glass of champagne, put on some music that really gets you going, and remember that you are fabulous!
